Leena

Where Icelandic brands and creators find each other, agree terms and get the work delivered.

Every brand wants creator content. Almost none of them know how to brief, hire or pay for it. Leena is the missing middle.

Overview

Leena is a two sided marketplace between Icelandic companies and the creators who make content for them. Companies post a project, creators apply, work is delivered and approved inside the platform, and the whole thing settles through the invoicing rails Icelandic companies already use.

Creators use it free. Companies subscribe. The first project is free for a new company because the hardest part of this market is getting a business owner to try creator marketing once.

It launched into a market where most company owners are curious about creator work but do not understand it. So the product explains as much as it matches. Verified creator badges, structured briefs and two way reviews turn an unfamiliar arrangement into something that looks like ordinary contract work.

The wedge

Why it holds.

  • Localised settlement. Creators invoice through a partner connected to the Icelandic banking system, so companies see exactly what they owe and pay it the way they pay everything else.

  • Supply came first. The creator side was seeded through people the creator community already follows, which is not something a foreign platform can replicate on entry.

  • Verification by hand. Every verified creator has been through an onboarding call. It does not scale infinitely and that is the point.

The model

How it works.

  1. 01

Company subscriptions in three tiers, priced by how many projects run at once.

  2. 02

    Free for creators, always.

  3. 03

Advertising to the creator side as a second line.
